Fernanda Dorea

After graduating in veterinary medicine (University of Brasilia, 2004) worked for the Federal Government in Brazil, directly involved with animal disease surveillance. Master of Science (University of Georgia, USA, 2009) with focus on infectious disease modeling. Following the successful development of a syndromic surveillance system using laboratory data in Canada (PhD thesis delivered in March 2013), currently is developing a similar system for the National Veterinary Institute (SVA) in Sweden.
