Professor Fehmidah Munir is a Professor in Health Psychology in the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences, Loughborough University. She is a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society and a Registered Practitioner with the HCPC. Dr Munir’s research expertise is in workplace health. She has substantial research experience in the prevention of work-related ill-health, managing long-term health conditions, and rehabilitation. She has designed and led projects on workplace interventions including implementing behaviour change strategies to reduce workplace sitting, improving physical and social health and improving diet and nutrition in the workplace. She has also designed and tested policies and practices in how organisations can reduce and manage ill-health that impacts work. Many of these outputs are endorsed and used by relevant governing bodies and charities. Dr Munir has attracted over £1million in research funding from the ESRC, NIHR and the Department of Health for workplace health intervention studies. She has published over 100 scientific journal articles, book chapters and reports and is involved in several European and international research projects.
