Her research interests include piezoelectric and dielectric materials, magnetic shape memory alloys, interferometry and ellipsometry, reciprocal phase space mapping, thin-layer deposition by laser ablation and their characterization, and electrical and optical measurement technologies. Most recently, her research has focused on reciprocal phase-space mapping by advanced x-ray diffraction methods. Using this method, she can look at domain dynamics and internal strain. She has received the Henry Award from the Ceramic Society. She has written 70 peer-reviewed publications.
