Faizan Hijazi

Faizan Hijazi is currently a PhD student -Prime Minister's Research Fellow 2018 - in the Department of Materials Engineering at IISc Bangalore. He is focussed primarily on time-dependent plastic deformation of materials used at high temperatures i.e. creep deformation. He has been working on the development of small length scale bending creep tests for evaluation of creep parameters. He is currently working on length scale effects on creep rates and material testing volume optimisation (representative volume element) in metallic alloy systems like steels and superalloys. He is trying to investigate structure-property correlation in metallic alloy systems.
