FIELD OF INTEREST (i) Mineralogical-petrographic, geochemical and physical-mechanical characterization of stones and marbles used in antiquity and in historical architecture; ceramics/bricks; plasters/mortars; pigments; vitreous materials. (ii) Issues related to the conservation of the aforementioned materials as well as to the definition of the causes and mechanisms of their deterioration. (iii) Chemical-physical characterization of inorganic-organic products for the conservative treatments.
