Ourique Fabiana

Professor at the Department of Biochemistry, at the Institute of Biological Sciences, Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF). She holds a degree in Pharmacy and Biochemistry from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM-2005) and a Master's in Nutrition with an emphasis on Metabolism and Dietetics from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC-2010). PhD in Biochemistry from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC - 2016) with a sandwich doctoral internship held at the Institute of Biomedicine and Biotechnology of Cantabria - IBBTEC (Spain) as a member of the Cancer Molecular Biology Group. With a Post-Doctorate in Biochemistry at UFSC as a researcher under the National Post-Doctoral Program (PNPD) at CAPES. She has extensive experience in the areas of biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, pharmacology and toxicology. It is dedicated to the study of the molecular bases of cancer and the biological activity of new molecules from natural and synthetic sources as pharmacological alternatives for the treatment of cancer, seeking to elucidate the mechanism of action of these molecules, and also with genomic changes in proteins involved in angiogenesis and cell proliferation. She is also active in the field of nanomedicine, in the development and biological studies of nanoparticles for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
