EunMi Choi

Eunmi Choi received the B.S. degree in physics from Ewha Womans University, Seoul, South Korea, in 2000, the M.S. degree in physics from the Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), Pohang, South Korea, in 2002, and the Ph.D. degree in physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, MA, USA, in 2007. After the post-doctoral research at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL), Upton, NY, USA, in 2008, she joined the Department of Electrical Engineering, Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST), Ulsan, South Korea, in 2010, as an Assistant Professor, where she has been a Professor since 2021. She is leading the group of THz Vacuum Electronics and Applied Electromagnetic Laboratory (TEE Lab). Her research focuses on the development of high-power millimeter and THz wave sources using vacuum electron devices and explores its applications, including orbital angular momentum (OAM) communications for future 6G and beyond.
