Ethan K. Murphy

Ethan K. Murphy (Member, IEEE) received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, MA, USA, in 2002, and the Ph.D. degree in mathematics from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO, USA, in 2007. Currently, he is a Research Assistant Professor at the Thayer School of Engineering, Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH, USA. He previously has worked in industrial and academic positions since arriving at Dartmouth in 2014. His current research primarily involves physics-based electrical modeling, imaging electrical properties using electrical impedance tomography (EIT), and using a combination of computational techniques to improve these methods for practical biomedical applications. Much of his work involves 3D mesh generation for finite element method problems and fusing data from multiple data sources.
