Esinam Nancy Amuzu-Aweh

Experienced post-doctoral research fellow with a demonstrated history of working on quantitative and statistical genomic analyses of large datasets. Strong research professional with a joint PhD from Wageningen University and Research, the Netherlands and the Swedish University of Life Sciences, and double degree MSc from Norwegian University of Life Sciences and the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences, Vienna. All my post-graduate education has been in quantitative/statistical genomics and animal breeding. I am currently a senior research fellow for the USAID Feed the Future - Genomics to Improve Livestock project. The aim of this project is to develop robust and high-yielding local chickens in Ghana and Tanzania through selective breeding for Newcastle disease resistance/resilience, fast growth and high egg production. I perform statistical data analysis and genomic modeling to uncover the links between high density genotype and phenotype data.
