For over 20 years I have been engaged in promoting a culture where research, efficacy and safety issues are addressed first with non-animal approaches, and only thereafter with ‘refinement’ and ‘reduction’ strategies. My tools include knowledge sharing, communication, education, facilitating technology transfer, implementation and validation of promising new methods. My long-term vision is better human and environmental health and safety through the application of non-animal approaches for testing and assessment. In line with this vision, I established 3Rs Management and Consulting (3rsmc-aps.com), SenzaGen (senzagen.com) and ToxGenSolutions (toxgensolutions.eu), providing tools for driving promising non-animal tools from the bench to industry and regulatory authorities.
