个人简介
I am currently a data scientist/analyst under Prof. Jochen Guck in the Biological Optomechanics Division of the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light. My work entails the creation of data pipelines for the analysis of real time deformability cytometry (RT-DC) data. This is done mostly with python within the DCLAB/ShapeOut2 packages. We also analyse RT-DC data with machine learning methods such as unsupervised and deep learning.
During 2020, I was a postdoctoral researcher in on the US-Ireland partnership project, "Domain Wall Engineering for Novel Nanoelectronics” based in the University of Limerick, Ireland.
In August 2020 I obtained a PhD in Physics from the University of Limerick through a Government of Ireland Irish Research Council Scholarship. My research involved using python and data visualisation to analyse images of 2D materials and domain walls in ferroelectric materials taken with high resolution electron microscopy, in particular TEM, STEM and EELS. I have presented at international and European scientific and data conferences. In 2015, I graduated with a first class honours Bachelors of Science degree in Applied Physics from the University of Limerick in 2015.
