Emmanuel Salia

I am a Biomedical Scientist at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Accra Ghana. I hold BSc in Medical Laboratory Science and an MPhil degree in Microbiology and Immunology from the department of Medical Laboratory Science and the department of Microbiology and Immunology, School of Medical Science, University of Cape respectively. As a biomedical scientist I have much interest in understanding pathogenesis and host immune responses to infectious agents (microbes), specifically, Viruses. My core focus is on Hepatitis B virus and HPV where research into the Pathogenesis, cellular immune responses, the epidemiology, diagnostics and prevention of these microbes are been carried out. I am a member of the American Society for Microbiology and the Ghana Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists (GAMLS).
