Ugbo, Emmanuel Nnabuike (PhD) was a Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), Airlangga Global Engagement postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Veterinary Public Health, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Airlangga University, Surabaya, Indonesia where he researched on Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus and extended spectrum beta-lactamase producing organisms of animal origin. He holds a PhD in Medical Microbiology from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria (2019). Dr. Ugbo Emmanuel Nnabuike is a Lecturer with Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, Nigeria. He joined the Department of Applied Microbiology in the month of February 2015, where he enjoys working closely with undergraduate and postgraduate students to help them develop their own passions for microbiology, research, teaching and other interesting aspects of life. His areas of research interest include antimicrobial resistance (AMR), public health infectious diseases, bacteriology and virology. Ugbo, Emmanuel Nnabuike (PhD) has published extensively in peer reviewed open access international journals of high impact, editorial board member for various international journals and he is also a reviewer. He is a member of editorial team of e-journal of Airlangga University, Surabaya, Indonesia. Generally, my research works have been focussed on the area of antimicrobial resistance, especially on epidemiological studies and molecular characterization of multidrug-resistant organisms, including extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL)-producing bacteria, metallo-beta-lactamase (MBL)- producing bacteria, AmpC-producing bacteria, and Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Ugbo, Emmanuel Nnabuike (PhD) is a member of many prestigious professional bodies including the Nigerian Society for Microbiology (NSM), and American Society for Microbiology (ASM). He is also a recipient of several awards including: Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), Airlangga Global Engagement Postdoctoral Research Fellowship, Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) Early Carrier Conference Grant Award and NEEDS Assessment Capacity Building Grant Award under Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Abuja Nigeria.
