In my group we aim to understand growth and survival mechanisms in bacteria & fungi e.g. attachment, biofilms, spores & survival during transport in clinical and medical devices. We investigate treatments; antibiotics, antifungals, antiseptics and disinfectants & specifically the role of natural compounds (essential oils) in controlling bacterial and fungal pathogens. Using social science methods, we conduct surveys, systematic reviews, meta-analysis and scoping reviews in Bio/Public Health
