Emma Nelson

I am a postgraduate researcher at the University of Manchester, with a primary focus on religious history during the long twelfth century. My research interests manuscript production and scriptoria, the secular clergy, women's religious houses, monastic conflict and its resolution, women's patronage and literacy, mortuary rolls, and historical re-enactment. I am currently writing my thesis on the twelfth-century library of Lincoln Cathedral.
