I am interested in understanding ecological interactions through the lens of non-native species. Species introductions often cause noticeable disruptions to communities and provide "natural" systems on which to test hypotheses about how species respond to novel selective forces. I have been exploring these dynamics in several systems of gastropods invasive in the Pacific Northwest. I'm also very interested in how biological invasions are perceived and discussed in scientific and popular media.
