Emily Mroz

My research addresses the family care dyads’ navigation of serious illness, end of life, & bereavement, including examining factors that promote caregivers’ preparedness for serious illness care roles (e.g., dementia, cancer), resources that promote patients’ priorities-aligned health decision making and wellbeing, and health care systems’ provision of hospice and palliative care services. I conduct basic and translational social-behavioral health research.
