个人简介
Zeljko V.Despotovic was born in Prijepolje, Serbia in 1964. He finished primary school and high school in Nova Varos, 1979 and 1983, respectively. He received the B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in School of Electrical Engineering (Department of Power Converters and Drives), from the University of Belgrade, Serbia and Montenegro, 1990, 2003 and 2007, respectively. He has been with the Department of Mechatronics, Mihajlo Pupin Institute, Belgrade, since 1991. His research interests include the fields of power electronics, mechatronics, control of power converters, vibration control and control of vibratory conveying systems.
EDUCATIONAL DEGREES:
Undergraduate Study
April 1990: received Bachelor of Science degree in School of Electrical Engineering (Chair of Power Converters and Drives), University of Belgrade, specializing in Power Converter Control, B.Sc. title-“Comparative Synopsis Characteristics of Darlington BJT and IGBT as Power Current Switches in Voltage Source Inverters”, supervisor- Prof. Zoran Stojiljkovic.
Graduate Study
December 2003: received Master of Science degree in School of Electrical Engineering (Chair of Power Converters and Drives), University of Belgrade, specializing in Power Converter Control and Mechatronics, M.Sc. thesis title – “Power Converters for Electromagnetic Vibratory Feeder Drive in Systems for Dosing and Conveyance of Granular Materials”, supervisor- Prof. Zoran Stojiljkovic.
Ph.D. Study
November 2007: received the Ph.D. degree in School of Electrical Engineering (Chair of Power Converters and Drives), University of Belgrade. Ph.D. thesis title –″The Performance Optimisation of Resonant Electromagnetic Vibratory Conveyors Using Current Controlled Transistor Power Converters, supervisors- Prof. Zoran Stojiljkovic, Prof.Slobodan Vukosavic.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
September 1990 to present: Industrial Electronics and Power Electronics Engineer and Research Scientist in the Mechatronics Department, Mihajlo Pupin Institute, Belgrade, currently at the positions of Ph.D., E.E-scientific fellow and Research and Development Engineer of Power Electronics.
He is an associate fellow of Laboratory for Digital Control of Power Converter and Drives-School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, Serbia.
He is professor at the High School of Professional Studies in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science - Belgrade, Serbia, since February 2010.
The working experience includes research in the following areas:
•14 years of experience in industrial control, mechatronics, robotics and servo drive (DC, AC, Brush-less) systems
•14 years experience in power converters design
•10 years of experience in power electronics computer simulation
•10 year of experience in design power AC motor drive
•6 years of experience in control of vibratory conveying systems and vibratory feeder drives
•5 years of experience in hydraulics control and hydrodynamics power transmission
•5 years of experience in embedded motion controller
•5 years of experience in development and control of electrostatic precipitators
•PLC design
•Experience with PC and PC104 systems
•Digital/analogy hardware design experience
•Familiar interfaces I2C, RS232, RS422-485, CANBUS, PROFIBUS
•Comfortable with Windows based tools
•Proficiency in hardware/software design tools: Or CAD, TANGO, ACCEL, PSPICE, MSIM Design Centre and MATLAB.
