Irina Geana

GEANA Elisabeta-Irina (senior researcher - CSI) - 37 years old, PhD in Chemistry since 2016 (Bucharest University), is memeber of R&D and Technological Transfer Department (ICSI Rm. Valcea), responsible for Liquid Chromatography Laboratory. She has competences in: (i) developing and implementing reliable analytical methods for quality control and origin authentication of foods (honey, wine, plant extracts, etc.) by highlighting key biomarkers used in authentication and (ii) monitoring environmental contamination with polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), including water, air – emissions and immissions, sediments and soils, within different research projects and economic contracts (since 2010); (iii) technical skills: UHPLC-MS/MS, UHPLC-DAD, UHPLC-FL, UHPLC-ELSD, UV-Vis, ICP-MS.
