Bio
In my PhD project, I studied the spatial and temporal variation of methane and biogenic volatile organic compounds (BVOC) emissions in boreal peatland ecosystems. These gases have an important role in climate regulation. The object of my research was to link the variation in methane and BVOC emissions to variation in peatland vegetation. Currently, I am quantifying experimentally the impact of decreasing water level to BVOC emissions of Sphagnum mosses.
