Elie Azar is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, Khalifa University. His research aims to assess and improve the performance of the built environment in a holistic manner, while accounting for the interaction between buildings and their users. He integrates various modeling and analysis techniques in his research, including building energy modeling, post-occupancy evaluation, and machine learning. He has an extensive publication record on the topic, has secured multiple external and internal funding grants, and has graduated more than 15 graduate students at KU as a Main Advisor.
