Elham Mirkoohi currently works at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology. Her research interests are on mechanics modeling of manufacturing processes, such as machining, metal additive manufacturing, and sintering. She develops analytical models for the prediction of force, temperature, thermal stresses, residual stresses, and microstructure evolution of machining and manufacturing processes.
