My research activity is mostly focussed on links between prokaryotic community and ecosystem functioning in coastal and deep sea environments. Future developments: interaction between micro and macroorganisms and the development of new issues related to prokaryotic symbionts, their production of bioactive compounds and ecological implications and dark productivity related metabolism.
