Elaine Kearney

My research investigates the sensorimotor control of speech in individuals with acquired motor speech disorders, with a view to expanding the treatment options available to these populations. I conduct both basic science and clinical research that capitalizes on my expertise in the kinematic, acoustic, and perceptual evaluation of speech production. More recently, I have expanded my skill set to include functional neuroimaging and computational modeling methods to further uncover the neural mechanisms underlying speech motor control.
