Stephan Eisenschenk

Stephan J. Eisenschenk is currently a associate professor in the Department of Neurology, University of Florida. He is fellowship trained in the neurophysiology in epilepsy and sleep medicine at the University of Florida. His services include the diagnosis of both epileptic syndromes and sleep disorders. His main research interests are the cellular and biochemical basis of seizures, including the propagation patterns of seizure activity, with applications to the treatment of patients with epilepsy. His current research includes the assessment of neuronal densities and correlation to seizure activity and patterns of spread throughout the brain, in conjunction with clinical outcomes of patients that have undergone seizure surgery. His research also includes the utilization of stereotactic radiosurgery for the treatment of focal epilepsy.
