From the last 10 years my current research interests include Knowledge Based Engineering (KBE) techniques focused on dimensional metrology, calibration procedures, measurement uncertainty and Quality assurance, mainly with automated inspection instruments like Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and Coordinate Measurement Arms (CMAs or AACMMs), both by contact or with optical sensors, as well as Reverse Engineering Techniques based on non-contact measurement.
