Professor of Cellular and Molecular Parasitology at UFSC (Since 1994) and CNPq Research Fellow (2001-2020). Head of the UFSC's Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Parasitology (2016-2018). President of the Brazilian Society of Protozoology (2018-2020). Scientific interests are related to the cell and molecular biology of pathogenic trypanosomatids (Trypanosoma spp. and Leishmania ssp.).
