Eduard V. Monakhov was born on January 31, 1970. He received the Ph.D. degree in physical electronics from Moscow State University, Moscow, Russia, in 1997. During 1993–1998, he was with Moscow State University and the University of Aarhus, Aarhus, Denmark. During 1999–2000, he received Wenner-Gren postdoctoral fellowship at Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden. Since 2001, he has been a Researcher at the Physical Electronics Division, Department of Physics, University of Oslo, Oslo, Norway. He has Coauthored more than 60 scientific papers. His research interests include defects and diffusion in group IV and wide-band-gap semiconductors.
