Evelyn Regar

Evelyn Regar was born in Munich, Germany. She did her preclinical and clinical studies at the Universities of Regensburg and Munich, Germany. She received her medical license in 1996. After her residency at the Klinikum Innenstadt LMU in Munich, she went to Erasmus MC for a fellowship in interventional cardiology. Since 2004, she has been working as the Senior Interventional Cardiologist at the Erasmus MC. Her research interests include both clinical (coronary devices and invasive imaging) and translational (atherosclerosis and development of novel invasive imaging and therapeutic devices). She is a co-organizer of the International Working Group on OCT Validation and Standardization and the International Optics in Cardiology Meeting. She is also a regular Live-Case Operator and Invited Speaker at international conferences. She is the (co-)author of approximately 300 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters.
