Evangelos Ioannis Papaioannou currently works at the School of Chemical Engineering and Advanced Materials, Newcastle University. His expertise lie in gas phase heterogeneous catalysis and electrocatalysis, new materials development and characterisation, fuel cell technology and membrane reactors in the interface between materials science and chemical engineering. Current research interests include development of advanced nanoscale catalysts for emission control and sustainable energy production applications and design of novel in situ methods for catalyst characterisation.
