He has published 100+ research articles in peer reviewed international journals. Entire focus of his research over 2 decades in academia was in living anionic polymerization kinetics and synthesis of tailor-made homo-, block copolymer architectures and the study of solution and solid-state properties. He has ISI web of science h-index of 22 with average of 35 citations/per article. He edited a book, written four book chapters and filed several US and Indian patents. He worked at the University of Tennessee and taught "Organic Chemistry of Polymers"- CHEM 624 a course for graduate students for many years. Prior to working at the University, he worked as a senior scientist and a group leader at the National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), India for about 8 years. He has advised several graduate and master students. He has also directed industrial research projects from Solvay (Italy), P&G (US), GE (India), as well as obtained grants from Office of Naval Research (Navy), NSF and US army and Council of scientific and industrial research (CSIR-New Delhi) as PI.
