All of my research work is concentrated on the big data issues of agricultural application about multi-source spatial-temporal data from storage, organization, computation, and analysis. For example, we have successfully designed and built a grid-based platform for agricultural multi-source spatial-temporal data, which is similar to Google Earth Engine, but mainly targets Chinese satellite data, such as GF-1.
Now, I focus on creating crop type maps with high spatial resolution, such as 10 - 30m, which are critical for many agricultural applications but a limitation on a large scale.
Random forest and deep learning-based method are the ones I use the most.
