Dimitris Tsiachris

I am a Cardiologist – Interventional Electrophysiologist, expert in performing the whole spectrum of all interventional electrophysiological procedures. Notably, I am specialized in complex endoepicardial ablation of ventricular arrhythmias as well as I am a proctor in Greece and Europe for atrial fibrillation ablation procedures by using cryoballoon with the largest national experience (also proctor for Micra implantation in Greece). I performed my clinical EP fellowship in advanced ablation techniques next to Paolo Della Bella in 2012-2013 (San Raffaele Hospital, Milan, Italy) participating actively in all scientific activities. I collaborate as a scientific associate with University of Athens since 2011 organizing among others the Mutlicenter Clinical Registry PRESERVE-EF. My scientific interest is focused in the management of atrial fibrillation, prevention of sudden cardiac death and in complex ablation procedures as reflected by more than 140 publications in peer-review journals and more than 400 announcements in international congresses. Based on Google Scholar I have received 3652 citations and h-index is 35. In 2015 I instituted the EP and Pacing Lab in Athens Medical Center, the largest group of private hospitals in Greece consisted of 3 EP Labs equipped with the latest versions of electroanatomical mapping systems. We perform annually more than 200 complex ablation procedures being one of the highest volume centers in Greece.
