We are investigating the interactions between microbes and plants, and evaluating the mechanisms underlying plant-microbe interactions. We aim to understand the ecology and biodiversity of plant and soil biomes and to develop innovative solutions that answer challenges for modern agriculture. We also study the biology of medicinal plants affected by various abiotic stresses and evaluate optimal doses of organo-mineral fertilizers on plant growth and petrochemical compounds of medicinal plants. Moreover,environmental microbiome research group brings together an understanding of the biodiversity, biochemistry and molecular biology of microbes in diverse environments such as hot spring,desert, and salty lakes. These studies are of crucial importance to deepen our knowledge of how ecosystems function. Our laboratory provides soil testing, plant analysis services and fertilizer recommendations to farmers, and landscape specialists.
