Dennis Castillo-Figueroa

My research focuses on functional ecology, biological conservation and natural history of neotropical species. I am interested in understanding the functional mechanisms by which anthropogenic pressures affect biodiversity and ecological processes in different taxa, specifically in mammal, macroinvertebrates and plant communities. I am also interested in environmental education and scientific dissemination to share knowledge with people and thus help raise awareness of nature’s value.
