My research group "The GutBiotics Lab" is exploring the role of gut microbiota in the occurrence, treatment and prognosis of cancer to define gut microbiota-focused therapeutic strategies. My group is also investigating the complex synergistic interactions of bioactive compounds with standard drugs and how these interactions can be utilised as therapeutic strategies against infectious (bacterial, fungal and viral) diseases and cancer.
