My substantive position is Professor of Epidemiology. I also hold a number of appointments, including the Head of the School of Public Health, the Director of the Australian Centre for Public and Population Health Research (ACPPHR) and I am an Adjunct Professor of Biostatistics (University of Newcastle).

David is an experienced quantitative researcher, with expertise in research methodology. He has produced over 350 academic publications, with an H-Index of 50, is an associate editor of two international peer-reviewed journals, and is a chief investigator on numerous National Health and Medical Research Council and Australian Research Council-funded projects.
