He was one of the first providers in the country to utilize these treatments. At UCSD, Dr. Feifel also regularly taught medical students, residents and postdoctoral fellows and headed a translational research program focused on developing new treatments for psychiatric disorders. He has authored or co-authored over 130 scientific, peer-reviewed papers on topics related treating mental illness including papers on TMS and ketamine.
