David Barnes

David Barnes received the B.Sc. (Eng.) degree in chemical engineering from Imperial College London, London, U.K., in 1975, the master's in business administration from Open University, Milton Keynes, U.K., in 1992, and the Ph.D. degree in operations strategy from Staffordshire University, Stoke-on-Trent, U.K., in 2000. He has held posts at Royal Holloway University of London, the Open University, and Thames Valley University. He is currently a Professor of Operations Management with the University of Westminster, London. His research has been published in leading academic journals including International Journal of Operations and Production Management, International Journal of Production Economics, Production Planning and Control, International Journal of Production Research, Journal of Purchasing & Supply Management, and Journal of Cleaner Production. His research interests include supplier selection and order allocation in sustainable and agile supply chains, ebusiness performance measurement systems, and the organizational adoption and use of digital technologies.
