Dante Disharoon

Dante Disharoon received the Ph.D. degree from the Chemical and Biological Engineering Department, Colorado School of Mines, Golden, CO, USA, in 2021. He is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Biomedical Engineering Department, Case Western Reserve University (CWRU), Cleveland, OH, USA. He was the recipient of the Outstanding Thesis Award for his thesis, which focused on developing magnetically actuated microbots for the combined mechanical and biochemical dissolution of blood clots. At CWRU, he works on the interface between electrical and biomedical engineering, developing diagnostic and therapeutic technologies to address bleeding and clotting disorders. He was recognized as a DARPA Riser in 2022 and selected to receive the Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis Editor's Award in 2023.
