Danielle R Stevens

Dr. Stevens is a researcher working at the intersection of environmental, nutrition, cardiovascular, and perinatal and pediatric epidemiology to help improve the health and wellbeing of children and pregnant persons. She graduated with a BS in Health Sciences from Furman University, with a focus on nutrition epidemiology. In 2019, she received her PhD in Epidemiology from the Medical University of South Carolina, with a focus on cardiometabolic disorders during the perinatal period. Since then, she has held appointments in the National Institutes of Child Health and Human Development (2019-2021) and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (2021-current). Her research primarily revolves around identifying intervenable early life risk factors for the development of respiratory and cardiometabolic diseases.
