Daniel Petrovic

Daniel Petrovic currently works at the Institute of Histology and Embryology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana. Daniel is involved in the research of atherosclerosis of coronary and carotid arteries (genetic markers, histology, immunohistochemistry, CT angiography of coronary arteries), as well as development of microvascular complications of diabetes - retinopathy (genetic markers, histology, immunohistochemistry) and nepropathy (genetic markers). As an expert for non-invasive cardiology (ECHO, Doppler of carotid arteries) he combines basic science (genetic markers, histology, immunohistochemistry) and clinical science (ECHO, Doppler of carotid arteries) to explore atherosclerosis and microvascular complications of diabetes.
