Domingos X. Viegas

Domingos Xavier Viegas is a full professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department of the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Coimbra, Portugal. His research activity is in the fields of industrial aerodynamics, wind engineering, and forest fire propagation. He has been the head of a research unit on forest fires at the University of Coimbra, working in this area since 1986. He is the coordinator of several research projects supported by national and European funds. He has been a lecturer at several international meetings and is the author of several articles on the topic of forest fires.
