Devina Lobine

Dr Devina Lobine is a bio-scientist. She holds a degree undergraduate in Agricultural Biotechnology and a PhD in Natural products. In 2021, Devina has completed her post-doctoral research fellowship in the field of neuropharmacology from University of Mauritius, in collaboration with Axonova Ltd (private company). She has several years of practical and applied experience in various fields of life sciences and has authored/co-authored over 60 publications. She has been the recipient of several travel grants to attend international workshops/courses and conferences. Devina is passionate about youth empowerment, as they are the drivers of the future. In her roles as Youth Ambassador of Southern Africa Network for Biosciences (SANBio), a Fellow of Africa Science Leadership Programme, Next Einstein Forum Ambassador for Mauritius and a member of Global young Academy and a member of Junior Chamber International, Devina is actively engaged in promoting STEM and fostering bio-innovation in young mind in Africa. Devina is devoted to contributing significantly to the development of Africa by sharing knowledge, skills and ideas with different key communities of science in Mauritius.
