Dmitry Dubovikoff

We are a team of researchers from St. Petersburg State University specializing in the study of biological diversity, evolution and ecology of insects. Our laboratory focuses on the study of the taxonomy, functional morphology and evolution of ants using advanced technologies such as X-ray computed microtomography, light, fluorescent, laser confocal and scanning electron microscopy. The objects of our research are fossil ants in resins and imprints in sediments (from Cretaceous to Pliocene) from numerous locations from around the world, as well as modern ants.
