Cyril Germineaud

Holding a PhD in physical oceanography from the University of Toulouse (France) and 6 years of experience as an Early Career Scientist, I developed an expertise in the exploitation of extensive Climate datasets, from in-situ measurements, satellite imagery and model outputs, and analytical skills commensurate with these datasets, such as time series analyses, data reduction techniques and uncertainty quantification. I also acquired skills and knowledge than enabled me to manipulate complex numerical tools combining numerical modeling, data assimilation and advanced statistical analysis. My research has been focused so far on changes in ocean dynamics, water mass properties and regional sea level and their relationships with leading modes of climate variability. My research interests are also focusing on data assimilation methods, applied to marine biogeochemistry, to better understand, quantify, and eventually predict the biogeochemical state of the ocean.
