After 12 years of clinical experience as midwife in type III maternity unit, I oriented my professional career towards the field of perinatal research. Two axes were developed: - on the one hand, the analysis of the practice, its organisation and the human factor in order to identify sub-optimal care factors and propose areas for improvement - on the other hand, the implementation of multifaceted impact studies aimed at reducing maternal and perinatal morbi- mortality. This activity is carried out in conjunction with a coordination activity of a perinatal network of 26 maternity hospitals (AURORE perinatal network, 45 000 births per year) whose mission is to disseminate clinical practice recommendations and measure their application as well as to monitor indicators of quality and safety of care in order to improve professional practices.
