My D.Phil project involves using proteomic and transcriptomic techniques on post-mortem human brain samples to define specific cell types across the adult and developing brain. These techniques are also used to investigate how the biochemical composition of single cells differ across neurodegenerative diseases, especially regarding the selective vulnerability of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
