Clístenes Williams Araújo Do Nascimento

Clistenes Nascimento is currently Full Professor at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE), Area Editor of the Brazilian Journal of Soil Science, and CNPq researcher. Prof. Nascimento was Member of the Committee of Agronomy at the National Institute of Science and Technology - CNPq (CA-AG), Director of the Northeast Regional Branch of the Brazilian Soil Science Society, and Head of the Graduate Program in Soil Science from UFRPE. Prof. Nascimento develops research in the field of Soil Chemistry, following topics: Heavy metals, rare earth elements and micronutrients in the soil-plant system; Phytoremediation of soil contaminated by metals; Silicon and plant tolerance to heavy metals; Use of silicon in crop fertilization; and waste recycling in agriculture.
