Chunyi Song received the Ph.D. in electronic and communication engineering from Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan. He was a Research Associate in Waseda University during 2007-2009. He then joined National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), Japan, as a researcher during 2009-2013, and as a senior researcher in 2014. Since 2014 he has been with Zhejiang University, China, as an associate professor, where he is also serving as vice director of The Key Laboratory of Ocean Observation-Imaging Testbed of Zhejiang Province. He was the co-recipient of IEICE software radio award in CrownCom 2011 and was elected to “Thousand Talents Program of Zhejiang Province" in 2016.
